This unique environment is home to an 18.4 billion dollar marine industry that includes marinas, boatyards and builders, yacht and charter brokers and marine services of unlimited variety. Over 1900 of these marine businesses are members of the Marine Industries Association of Florida.

    As a not-for-profit marine trade association, the Marine Industries Association of Florida (MIAF) is dedicated to the enhancement of family recreational boating and access to the waterways in Florida. For up-to-date information on every aspect of boating in Florida, including boat sales and service, financing, special events, fishing, sailing, diving and much more call MIAF at 850-425-8445.

    The Marine Industrie Association of Florida's purpose is to promote social activities and education between its members. To exchange ideas on promotion and sales of their products and services. To foster and promote boating in Florida. To aid and assist in the proposal and adoption of suitable laws and regulations relating to boats and boating. To aid, assist or conduct displays of boats, equipment and allied products and services.

    The Marine Assocation offers many different kinds of opportunities for making business contacts, getting business tips and working with others in the marine industry on a local, state and national level. Common problems have common solutions. Discuss what others are doing in a networking atmosphere and meet new potential customers through MIAF and the local marine associations. Meetings are held locally, featuring programs on timely and interesting marine business subjects, as well as updates on important events and matters that impact the marine business community.

  • How To Join

    In areas where there is a local MIAF association, membership applications will be directed to that office and will be subject to approval of the local association and the local associations dues.

    In areas where there is no local MIAF association, a Trade or Associate Membership is available. Applications will be subject to approval of the MIAF Membership Committee.

    If a new association is started in an area where MIAF has trade or associate members, those trade or associate members will become members of the newly formed association for the remainder of the dues cycle.
